This course has been updated to the October 2019 update of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Apps. This course provides students with a detailed hands-on experience of setting up, configuring, customizing, and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement using the native power-user tools and the Power Platform. Attendees of this course will gain an in-depth understanding of configuring Dynamics 365 through the Power Platform Admin Center, setup and support the Dynamics 365 Security Model, learn how to customize the Dynamics 365 Common Data Model and Apps, create and maintain Processes and Flows, and manage changes using Solutions to package and deploy customizations across multiple environments. The course applies to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Apps, Power Automate and the Power Platform with the October 2019 update. About This Course

This course provides students with a detailed hands-on experience of setting up, configuring, customizing, and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement using the native power-user tools and the Power Apps platform.

Attendees of this course will gain an in-depth understanding of configuring Dynamics 365 through the Power Platform Admin Center, setup and support the Dynamics 365 Security Model, learn how to customize the Dynamics 365 Common Data Model and Apps, create and maintain Processes and Flows, and manage changes using Solutions to package and deploy customizations across multiple environments.

Audience Profile

This course is intended for Information workers, IT Professionals and Developers. Students should have an existing working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365. As a minimum, students should attend the prerequisite course ‘55250: Introduction to Microsoft Dynamics 365’.

At Course Completion

  • Understand the features and tools that exist in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Apps
  • Be able to customize and configure the out of the box Apps and Hubs in Microsoft Dynamics 365, including the Sales and Customer Service Hubs
  • Create a custom Model-driven App using the Power Apps App Designer and Site Map Designer
  • Be aware of complimenting Microsoft products such as SharePoint, Skype for Business and Microsoft Exchange that can be integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Undertake and carry out the initial setup and configuration required in a Microsoft Dynamics 365 deployment through the Power Platform Admin Center
  • Configure Auditing in Dynamics 365 and the Office 365 Security and Compliance Center
  • Design and configure a comprehensive Security model using the inbuilt tools in Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Create a custom Dynamics 365 Model including custom Entities, Fields and Relationships
  • Understand the concept of Virtual Entities to integrate external data in Dynamics 365
  • Design custom Forms, Quick View Forms, Quick Create Forms and Card Forms using the Power Apps Form Designer
  • Create custom System Views, Personal Views and Public Views
  • Understand the necessary best practices when creating customizations in Dynamics 365 and Power Apps
  • Create Charts and Interactive Experience Dashboards in Power Apps
  • Create and manage Business Rules using the Business Rule Designer
  • Plan, design and implement business process automation with Dynamics 365 Processes, including Workflows, Business Process Flows and Power Automate integrations
